12-month Rotating Emergency and Critical Care Internship

Job Description

We are interested in new graduate veterinarians or veterinarians who are seeking advanced training in Emergency and Critical Care. Train under the guidance of our specialists in the areas of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, as well as Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Oncology.  Additional rotations to supplement the interns’ experience will include Dermatology, Shelter medicine, Theriogenology, Ophthalmology, and Dentistry.  Approximately half of the interns’ time will be devoted to primary emergency case responsibility, however there will be myriad educational opportunities including daily case rounds, didactic rounds, journal club, and ample CE hours offered throughout the year.  Elective rotations in other areas of interest can also be arranged upon request.  We offer excellent mentorship and training to prepare the intern for a career in Emergency Medicine or for a future residency program. Upon completion of the internship program, the successful emergency and critical care intern will possess the ability to thoroughly work up, diagnose and treat difficult and complicated emergency and critical care cases. Salary 30K, one week paid vacation.
