Admission and Discharge
This whole area needs to be scrapped. It should read: “Equine patients will be admitted to the equine hospital following check-in at the LATH front desk. The admission process can be streamlined if you call ahead to provide your contact information and information about the horse(s) that will be admitted to the hospital.
When it is time for a patient to be discharged, the clinicians taking care of your horse will schedule a discharge time. Most discharge times occur during normal business hours; however, patients can be easily discharged after hours following a discussion with the clinician. Prior to discharge from the hospital the Business Office will require that the account be paid in full. Arrangements can be made with the Business Office in advance if the horse is to be discharged into the care of someone other than the individual responsible for the bill.
