Dr. Thomas Passler

Dr. Passler’s research focuses on evaluating bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) infections in white-tailed deer and their role in the epidemiology of BVDV.  He is continuing this work to assist the future planning and refining of ongoing BVDV control in Alabama and other states. In addition to BVDV research, Dr. Passler is also interested in the pathophysiology of infectious and inflammatory diseases of food animals.
