The Department of Clinical Sciences has the following available positions: Veterinary Critical Care Technician Positions - The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Auburn University invites applications for 3 experienced veterinary technicians in the Small Animal Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Successful candidates will be team members in the new Auburn University Critical Care Program. Flexible 4 day, 40 hour per week shifts are available. Responsibilities will include providing advanced monitoring and patient care services, instruction of students in the DVM curriculum, participation in caseload data collection for clinical research, and participation in continuing education programs for veterinary technicians through the office of Continuing Education. Opportunities will be created for laboratory teaching in the DVM curriculum. Minimum qualifications are an associate’s degree in veterinary technology from a certified school and eligibility for state licensure or a bachelor’s degree in a related science. Previous experience in an educational setting and certification by the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians (AVECCT) is desirable. A competitive compensation and benefits package will be offered. The successful candidates will be required to obtain an Alabama State License in Veterinary Technology.
