Auburn, Alabama —
WSFA TV reporter Judd Davis and videographer Jeff Harrison recently filmed something uniquely Auburn -- the free flight of the eagles in Jordan-Hare Stadium. College of Veterinary Medicine Raptor Specialists Marianne Hudson and Andrew Hopkins, along with volunteers, train Nova, War Eagle VII, and Spirit each day for the eight flights one of the eagles will make this fall in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Watch the County Road segment Friday, (Aug. 23) at 6 p.m., and Sunday (Aug. 25) at 10 p.m.

While the eagle flight is thrilling for Auburn (and opposing) fans, the Southeastern Raptor Center, at Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, conducts more than 300 educational programs annually, and rehabilitates and releases hundreds of injured birds of prey.

Starting Aug. 30 and each home game Friday at 4 p.m., the center staff hosts “Football, Fans, and Feathers” an educational program at the SRC Amphitheater. Tickets are $5 per person and include a raptor show, flight demonstration, and educational program.
